as a simple idea that
grew into a community tradition.
The Left Hand Giving Circle began when Virginia Choung wrote her master’s thesis on giving circles. She was inspired by the collective impact they provide and the idea of creating a community of like minded women. LHGC builds enduring relationships with nonprofits, introduces members to local needs, and creates a collaborative way to participate in philanthropy. It is a welcoming community where local women are able to create lasting friendships while making a difference.
