Group Volunteer Projects

We volunteer throughout the year at local nonprofits.  This has included packing school supplies for Crayons to Calculators, participating in a home build at Habitat for Humanity in Longmont, conversing one-on-one with local immigrants through Intercambio, and serving lunch at the OUR Center. The goal is to help out a worthy nonprofit, and have some fun along the way!

Crayons to Calculators - 2017 & 2018

Left Hand Giving Circle members and their children spent more than 200 hours organizing and packing school supplies for thousands of low-income children in the St. Vrain Valley School District.

Habitat for Humanity Home Build - 2017

On September 21, 2017, more than a dozen Left Hand Giving Circle members worked on three different new homes for Habitat for Humanity in Longmont.  Our responsibilities included painting, caulking and installing siding.

OUR Center Lunch - 2017

On October 29, 2017, we served a nutritious lunch to more than 130 needy individuals in Longmont.  This included planning the menu, purchasing the groceries, making the food, serving the meal, and cleaning up the kitchen.

Habitat for Humanity Home Build - 2018

In May 2018, we helped with a home build in Lyons, which is still recovering from the devastating flood of 2013.

Left Hand Giving Circle participated as part of Habitat for Humanity’s National Women Build Week, an annual weeklong event created by Habitat’s Women Build program in partnership with Lowe’s. The program invites women to devote at least one day to help families build strength, stability and independence through housing.

More than 98,000 women from all 50 states have volunteered at the nine previous National Women Build Week events.

Boulder IronMan support - 2018

Left Hand Giving Circle members spent the morning working with spouses, children and friends to organize athlete bags. An added bonus – IronMan Boulder will make a donation to our Fund in appreciation of our efforts.

The Inn Between's Girls Night Out Fundraiser - 2018

Left Hand Giving Circle members supported our first-ever grantee, The Inn Between, by providing volunteers at one of their largest fundraising events of the year at the beautiful St. Vrain event center in Longmont.
